Review by hotel critic
During my recent romantic escape to Venice, I had the pleasure of staying at the charming Albergo Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo, which is just a stone's throw from the enchanting Piazza San Marco. From my room, I enjoyed delightful views of the gondolas gently swaying in the Orseolo Basin, a sight that truly encapsulated the magic of the city. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, featuring a lovely selection of fresh fruit, croissants, and coffee-all while overlooking the picturesque canal. What impressed me most was the warm hospitality of the staff; they were eager to assist with everything, from storing our luggage to providing insider tips on the best local spots. The hotel's location is unbeatable for sightseeing, surrounded by charming Venetian alleyways and a mere two-minute walk from the waterbus stop. It made our stay relaxing and convenient, all while enjoying the elegance of this historic establishment-one of the oldest in Italy. I can't wait to return!
